TNA is gearing up for its massive debut on AMC.

In early December, it was announced that the promotion had signed a new broadcast partnership with AMC in the United States.

The deal will reportedly fetch the Carlos Silva-led promotion around $30 million, which is three times more than the figures that were reported a few months ago.

The company’s higher-ups are committed to building a strong card for the occasion, and, in accordance, have announced a new championship match.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Off The Ropes podcast, creative team member Tommy Dreamer revealed that TNA International Champion Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo will defend his title on the January 15 taping.

Stacks is defending the TNA International Title on national television. Stacks will also be wrestling, or be there, on AMC on Thursday, Draemer said.

Stacks won the championship on December 5 at Final Resolution by defeating Steve Maclin.

TNA Champion Stacks Wins On WWE NXT

Since winning the TNA International Championship, Stacks has been throwing his weight around in NXT.

During the December 23 taping, he, along with his fiance Ariana Grace, lost to Shiloh Hill and Skylar Raye in a Mixed Tag Team Christmas Chaos match.

After last week’s show, it was decided that Stacks would put his title against Hill. Both superstars exchanged offense, with Shiloh dominating for a better part of the bout.

In the closing minutes, Grace made her presence felt by the ringside, assisting Stacks to reverse a pinfall for the victory.

While Lorenzo goes into his title defense on the back of a victory, it will be interesting to see if he keeps the championship.
