Time For Adam Copeland’s AEW Return Finally Revealed

Adam Copeland AEW

The return of Adam Copeland to AEW could be very near.

The last time AEW fans saw Adam Copeland in action was back at All Out 2025 when he teamed with Christian Cage to defeat FTR. That was far from the end of that story, however, as after the match FTR took out Copeland’s wife and former WWE star Beth Phoenix.

This led to Copeland telling his long-time tag team partner that he needed to be with his family, leading to his long on-screen absence. In reality, Copeland had Hollywood commitments to keep, filming Percy and the Olympians as well as heading to London, England, to film The Beekeeper 2.

Many expected Copeland and Cage to be the mystery team in the recent three-way tag team match on Dynamite, with the winners getting a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship, now held by FTR. However, Private Party filled that last slot with fans of the veteran team left waiting.

Adam Copeland Going Double Or Nothing?

Speaking during a Q&A session, WrestleVotes noted that AEW is expecting Copeland back in time for Double or Nothing, which is reportedly set for Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City in May:

Adam Copeland’s been off for quite a while, but Double or Nothing is coming to New York City, inside a 14,000 to 15,000-seat open-air stadium. Adam Copeland is expected to be back by Double or Nothing.

FTR will likely face The Young Bucks at Revolution on March 15th after they won the three-way tag team match on Dynamite. A Double Or Nothing showdown could be marked on that show if Adam Copeland and Christian Cage make their surprise return in Los Angeles.
