Tiffany Stratton Breaks Silence On WWE WrestleMania 42 Snub
Tiffany Stratton was not part of WWE WrestleMania 42.
In the weeks leading up to the event, there were rumors that WWE was internally planning to add Stratton to WrestleMania 42 in a match against Giulia for the WWE Women’s United States Championship. However, the match did not materialize.
Speaking with Joey Karni, Tiffany Stratton opened up about how she felt about being left off the WrestleMania card. Stratton admitted that she was unhappy about missing out on the biggest stage of the year. However, she promised to work even harder to ensure that the same does not happen next year or ever again.
“I feel like my mindset has always been just kind of controlling what I can control, which is making the most out of all my segments, making the most out of my matches, making sure I’m delivering on everything and having really good matches with everybody,” she said.
She added, “And unfortunately, being on WrestleMania wasn’t in the cards for me this year. However, that just kind of leaves me with a chip on my shoulder for next year, and I’m going to do everything in my power to never let that happen ever again.” H/T ewrestlingnews
Although Stratton did not get a title match at WrestleMania, she competed for the WWE Women’s United States Championship on the April 24 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. She defeated Giulia to become the new champion.
Tiffany Stratton Might Turn Heel After Becoming Champion
Tiffany Stratton has been a babyface for a while, but now that she has won the Women’s United States Championship, she could be on the verge of turning heel. She teased a heel turn ahead of WrestleMania.
“That’s a really good question. I’m kind of just me. And honestly, for the past year, I felt a little stale. After I won the title, there weren’t really any crazy storylines, and I could feel that.”
“So I want to bring back some spunk. We’re going to lean into a little more heel-ish Tiffany — add a little spice. We’re going to play around with some things, so I’m excited about that. But yeah, I’m not really sure why the crowd cheers me when I’m giving off a heel-ish kind of vibe. You know what I mean?”
