Thunder Rosa’s Injury Causing Issues Backstage In AEW

Thunder Rosa makes her entrance as AEW Women's World Champion at AEW Fight For The Fallen 2022

Thunder Rosa remains a hot topic in the world of AEW.

AEW Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa unfortunately had to be pulled from her scheduled title defense against Toni Storm at this past weekend’s All Out pay-per-view. While her fellow AEW colleagues and fans alike surely wish her well on her recovery, Rosa has become the center of rumors as of late that perhaps she’s not quite as injured as originally thought.

According to the Wrestling Observer, while they’ve been told her reported back injury is indeed legitimate, many in the world of wrestling aren’t buying it. Per the report, due to the nature of Rosa not telling anyone about her injury until just hours after she was reportedly told that she would be dropping her title to Storm at All Out, it has ruffled some feathers backstage in AEW, leading some to speculate that she may not be injured.

Storm would still compete at All Out, where she defeated Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., Hikaru Shida, and Jamie Hayter to claim the interim AEW Women’s World Title. Following her victory, Storm participated in the post-show media scrum and made an off-handed comment saying ‘she says she’s injured’ when the media asked her about Rosa’s injury, which added even more fuel to the fire about Rosa potentially not being injured.

Only time will tell if Thunder Rosa is actually injured. However, Storm’s comments about Rosa weren’t even close to being the most controversial comments made during the post-All Out media scrum. Now-former AEW World Champion, CM Punk took aim at several of his colleagues, which led to a physical altercation between he, Kenny Omega, Matt, and Nick Jackson.
