The Young Bucks and The Hardys will resume their rivalry on AEW Dynamite.

The Young Bucks are looking to re-establish themselves in the tag team division in AEW following spells as the Trios Champions with Kenny Omega and as part of The Elite’s recent bloody and brutal gang warfare with the Blackpool Combat Club.

On Rampage, The Young Bucks were backstage making public their desire to get back to the top of the company’s tag team ranks before they invited The Hardys to join them. Matt Hardy made the suggestion that if The Bucks were keen to get started at the deep end then they should face each other on Dynamite and the match was later confirmed for the show in Columbus, Ohio on the 9th of August.

Although The Hardys are one of the most iconic teams of all time, bigger things could be on the horizon for The Young Bucks after they were issued a challenge by AEW Tag Team Champions FTR for a rubber match between the two teams on the biggest stage possible, All In at Wembley Stadium in London.

Have The Young Bucks wrestled The Hardys before?

The Hardys and The Young Bucks first met on an independent show in New York State back in 2014 and their meeting on Dynamite will be the 8th time the illustrious teams have met in two-on-two matches.

They have wrestled in AEW before, meeting at Double Or Nothing 2022 where The Hardys continued their dominance in matches against the Jackson brothers. However, their most famous bout came in 2017 when The Bucks defeated The Hardys in a ladder match for the ROH Tag Team Championship. One night later, Matt and Jeff Hardy returned to WWE at WrestleMania 33 where they won the Raw Tag Team Championship.
