The Miz Commits Major Mistake Ahead Of WWE Royal Rumble

The Miz may have exposed WWE’s shenanigans surrounding the Royal Rumble spots during a recent interview.

On the January 26 edition of Raw, Finn Balor was featured in a backstage segment speaking to general manager Adam Pearce.

Balor asked him to add him to the Royal Rumble match, but Pearce responded by saying that all 30 spots were filled, so there was no way Balor could be a part of it.

It made The Prince furious, who later viciously attacked the World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk.

Speaking on ESPN’s Get Up, The Miz was asked about what was at stake at the Royal Rumble on Saturday.

The former WWE Champion explained the rules of the match, which is where he could have stopped. However, he made the error of claiming that he had not yet announced his official entry in the match despite it being established that there were no spots left.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer called out this error in a tweet on X.

Miz speaks so well in WWE language. But nobody prepped him about the storyline from last night. Pearce said the Rumble is full no spots left but if Miz hasn’t “declared” it’s too late based on television storyline. Not that it matters. https://t.co/Dp4Gf3mu0x

The Miz Has No Friends In WWE

Since making his WWE in-ring debut in 2006, The Miz has remained one of the most polarizing figures to date. Despite that, he is one of only two 2-time Grand Slam Champions, alongside Seth Rollins.

While appearing on ESPN’s SportsCenter, the former WWE Champion discussed his plans for the Royal Rumble, during which he also revealed that he had no friends in the company.

I will do whatever it takes. I mean, are you kidding me? Whatever it takes to win. There are no friends here. I have no friends, by the way, in WWE anyway.

Nobody likes me. If you listen to the audience, they boo me. They chant I suck every single day. So, there are no friends when I’m in the ring.
