The Miz Aiming For Specific Goal As WWE Intercontinental Champion

the miz intercontinental title

The Miz is no stranger to the Intercontinental Title and he has a goal in mind if he gets to hold it again.

As a former eight-time Intercontinental Champion, The Miz has held the prestigious championship the second most times in WWE history. The only man who has held the Intercontinental Title more times than the A-Lister is Chris Jericho, who is a nine-time Intercontinental Champion who’s been out of WWE for five years.

At Survivor Series, The Miz will challenge the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER for the title. On the final Raw before Survivor Series, The Miz got the upper hand on GUNTHER during a face-to-face confrontation thanks to a low blow followed by a Skull Crushing Finale.

During an interview with TNT Sports’ Chamatkar Sandhu, the man whose real name is Mike Mizanin spoke about a goal he has if he’s able to win the Intercontinental Title again.

“Break the record for most days of having the Intercontinental Championship and most reigns. Like I’m one reign away from being tied for being number one. I’m, I think, 25 days away from having the title the most out of anyone. I think Pedro Morales has me beat right now by like 25 days, so that would be, I mean, that would be a pretty cool feat. It’d be just another accolade to add to my already pretty stout career.”

Mizanin is correct in saying that he’s 25 days behind Pedro Morales’s total of 617 days as the Intercontinental Champion while The Miz sits at 592 days. Morales has had two title reigns while the A-Lister has had eight title reigns.

GUNTHER Facing The Miz Is One Of Two Title Matches At WWE Survivor Series

In addition to GUNTHER’s WWE Intercontinental Title defense against The Miz, Rhea Ripley will put the Women’s World Title on the line against Zoey Stark as well. Those are the only two title matches set to take place at Survivor Series.

The Men’s and Women’s WarGames are likely going to be the longest matches at Survivor Series due to how many people are in the matches. The full Survivor Series card is below.

* Men’s WarGames Match: Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn & Randy Orton vs. The Judgment Day – Damian Priest, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh & Drew McIntyre
