The Bella Twins Reveal Surprise About Their Title Match On WWE SmackDown

The Bella Twins returned to SmackDown last week.

Both Brie and Nikki Bella sat by the ringside during the Women’s Tag Team Championship match between The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend) and Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss.

Midway through the bout, the action moved outside the ring. At one point, Flair attempted a kick on Jax, only for the latter to use Nikki as a human shield.

Soon after, the babyface duo of Flair and Bliss gained the upper hand and looked to be heading for a victory and title change. However, the attack on her sister prompted Brie to jump into the ring and attack Jax, causing a disqualification.

After the match, The Irresistible Forces destroyed the other four women, retaining their title.

In a backstage segment later, The Bella Twins informed Charlotte and Alexa that they will challenge Jax and Legend for the titles next.

The Bella Twins Reveal The Timing Of Their Title Match Decision

The Bella Twins were unofficially advertised for last week’s SmackDown episode, with several media houses reporting about it.

During a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki Bella revealed that the decision about them getting the title opportunity was last-minute.

In fact, they were informed about it on the same day as the show’s taping.

Brie and I had been so eager to get back on TV since Brie came back at the Royal Rumble, and then we came back in Phoenix, Arizona, which was incredible. There was nothing like causing chaos. And we found out literally that day, ‘Oh, by the way, next week you have a championship match for the tag titles.’ Like, what? Wow. [H/T: Ringside News]

The Bellas reunited in WWE at the Royal Rumble PLE for the first time since 2022. On the following episode of Raw, they made their intention clear about chasing the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
