Big news for WWE fans, as a new report has emerged about Stone Cold Steve Austin’s possible WrestleMania 42 involvement.

WWE has always relied on Stone Cold Steve Austin to help elevate major events like WrestleMania over the past couple of decades since the Texas Rattlesnake hung up his boots in the early 2000s.

Austin’s inclusion, even for something as simple as announcing event attendance, has garnered massive reactions from fans. His last appearance was at WrestleMania 38, which, to the WWE Universe’s delight, was him coming out of retirement for one match with Kevin Owens.

This year, Austin has been advertised for the meet-and-greets for both days at WWE World. A new report from Bodyslam now reveals more on Stone Cold’s status, saying that he is scheduled to be backstage at the event.

Although it isn’t clear whether the WWE legend will come out to address the fans, that possibility hasn’t been ruled out either.

A post on X shared Bodyslam’s recent report:

Per BodySlam+, Stone Cold Steve Austin is currently scheduled to be backstage at WrestleMania 42. It’s currently unknown if he will just be at the show or if they will have him make a surprise appearance at the Showcase of the Immortals.

This is sure to get wrestling fans worldwide excited and tune in to WrestleMania 42 to see what happens.

Stone Cold Talked Recently About being In WWE In A Recent Interview

Stone Cold spoke to Busted Open recently, where he talked about going back to WWE to have moments but not a match.

He revealed that his left knee has been replaced and that his leg feels good after the replacement, which is why he wouldn’t want to be in action again, but the itch for a memorable moment in the ring hasn’t gone away.

It’d be to go back for one of those moments. Not a match itch… I got a left knee replacement a little over a year ago and God dang, my leg feels good. I’m glad I got it done. But, yeah, I get the itch for certain moments but, to try to do a match? No.

When asked who he would like to have a moment with, Austin joked that stars can all line up for him to take his legendary Stunner. He went on to talk about how grateful he is for the career he has had.

Sh*t, line ‘em up and let me Stun ‘em. All those guys that are selling the tickets now, put ‘em in a line, f*ck ‘em,” he laughed. “I don’t know. It’s not something that I think about. I’m so far gone. I’m happy that 3:16 Day is here and lasts with wrestling fans. I’m happy for the career I had but, in my current life, I don’t think about (it).

WrestleMania 42 takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the 18th and 19th of April.
