Stephanie McMahon Reportedly Had Issues Working With Vince McMahon Prior To WWE Resignation
A new report has shed some light on the working relationship between Stephanie McMahon and her father Vince McMahon regarding the family business known as WWE.
The holiday season at the McMahon family household was likely very interesting because 2023 has been very newsworthy. Not only is Vince McMahon back in WWE as the Executive Chairman, but his daughter Stephanie McMahon also announced her resignation as the Chairwoman and Co-CEO. Essentially, Vince’s return pushed Stephanie out of her job.
There was a report that we previously covered noting that Stephanie and her husband Paul “Triple H” Levesque apparently opposed a WWE sale, but her father Vince is going ahead with it.
In a statement issued by WWE on Thursday announced, WWE announced that they have hired a financial advisor, legal advisor and strategic communications advisor to support WWE’s management team in the negotiation of a potential sale. It’s also possible that WWE won’t be sold as well if the company feels like they are unable to find the right suitor.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (available by subscription) by Dave Meltzer, he wrote about Stephanie’s situation while noting that she apparently had issues working with her father while WWE CEO Nick Khan was there to try to keep the peace, so to speak.
“Her leaving after assuring employees she was staying and the company saying the same raises flags. Those close to the situation in WWE tried to present her decision to leave as being related to the decision last year, that after Levesque’s heart situation, she reevaluated her life, wanted to raise her three daughters and was wealthy enough that money will never be a concern. But she came back when Vince was in trouble.”
“That doesn’t explain why this was a resignation and she left the board and cut all ties with the company she has worked for since she was a teenager. It was also conceded that she and Vince did have issues in working together as family members and how Khan was a buffer who kept things smooth between them as well as between Vince and Levesque.”
