AEW is gearing up for arguably its biggest show of the year as Double or Nothing airs live this weekend from the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. The show is scheduled to host some blockbuster matches this year.

The Inaugural AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho, is set to compete in the Stadium Stampede match once again this year at AEW Double or Nothing, as he takes his rivalry with Ricochet to another level.

He’ll team up with The Elite and The Hurt Syndicate to take on The Demand, Mark Davis, Andrade, and The Dogs this weekend in a match where every team has a rivalry with someone on the other side.

To give the fans a preview of what’s to come at Double or Nothing, Jericho teamed up with the Young Bucks tonight and was involved in Trios action. They took on Mark Davis, Andrade, and Ricochet in the opening match of AEW Dynamite.

Both teams got in a lot of action in the match, but it was the faces who dominated most of the match. Jericho and the Jackson brothers hit simultaneous Hurricanaranas from the top rope to all three of their opponents to create a viral moment.

They came close to winning post this attack as they hit a double superkick to Andrade, and Jericho followed it up with a Codebreaker, but Ricochet broke the pin. Ricochet broke another pin attempt with a huge Lionsault, and it turned into a huge brawl between him and Jericho.

They took the brawl outside, and Jericho put himself and Ricochet through the Timerkeeper’s table, effectively taking both of them out of the match. Andrade and Davis tried to take advantage of the situation, but Andrade hit Davis with his Elbow strike.

Bucks then hit him with the BTE, but he miraculously kicked out. Davis then proceeded to distract the referee, allowing Clarke Connors and David Finaly to interfere. Connors took one brother out while the other attacked him with the Shellely. With both legal men out, Andrade had his arm over the other Jackson brother and got the win.

Toa Liona then began attacking The Young Bucks in the ring as Jungle Jack Perry came in to make the save. He was being overpowered by the numbers as the rest of the competitors of the Stadium Stampede match came to the ring.

The Hurt Syndicate also came to join the brawl and ultimately stood tall with the rest of the faces as Bobbly Lashley took Toa Liona out with a Spear, causing the rest of the team to retreat.
