Seth Rollins will have his hands full on the New Year’s Day edition of WWE Monday Night Raw as he puts his World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
Seth Rollins captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Night of Champions when the title was re-introduced to the company by Triple H.
Since then Rollins has been a fighting champion and he most recently put his gold on the line on the 4th of December edition of Raw against Jey Uso. And now he knows that on the first Raw of 2024, he’ll be putting the gold on the line once again against a familiar opponent.
Drew McIntyre Challenges Seth Rollins For Gold
On Raw in Cleveland, Ohio Drew McIntyre kicked things off with a big win over Jey Uso but his eyes remained on a bigger prize. McIntyre was seen talking with General Manager Adam Pearce backstage when they were interrupted by CM Punk.
McIntyre told Punk he wasn’t interested in his story or even Cody Rhodes’ story but rather finishing his own before revealing that he’ll get a World Heavyweight Championship shot against Seth Rollins on the January 1 edition of Raw in San Diego, California.
McIntyre failed to dethrone Rollins for the championship when the two men met for the title at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
