Seth Rollins Recreates The Shield With Two WWE Stars [PHOTO]

The Shield

Over the weekend, fans were left in a bit of a shock to see the return of the iconic Shield faction, at least for one night, and with new characters.

During a WWE house show in Bismarck, North Dakota, Seth Rollins teamed up with The Miz and Austin Theory to create the pose from the stable, launching a new edition of The Shield, at least for Saturday night.

It’s been over three years since the original members of Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose were together as The Shield.

For Rollins, he’s had a successful career with championship clout since turning heel on the faction, while Reigns went on to become the “Tribal Chief” of the company currently holding the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Ambrose would leave the promotion in 2019, joining AEW as Jon Moxley, and has become the top star of the promotion as a three-time champion.

Featured on the card for Saturday’s live event was a match that booked Seth Rollins,The Miz and Austin Theory against Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler.

After wearing down Lashley, the three of Rollins, The Miz and Theory arrogantly stood in front of the current WWE United States Champion, and what the heels did next surprised fans, forming The Shield pose that signaled a return of the stable in that moment.

Seth Rollins is set for a Fight Pit match between him and Matt Riddle at WWE’s Extreme Rules Premium Live Event this Saturday in Philadelphia. Former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has recently been announced as the special guest referee of the match. Extreme Rules will air on the Peacock streaming service at 8:00 PM ET.
