Scrapped WWE Name For Tiffany Stratton Revealed
Tiffany Stratton has mentioned some other names that she could have used in WWE.
The phrase “It’s Tiffy Time” is something fans hear every time Tiffany Stratton’s music plays, and it’s also something the current Women’s US Champion says often.
During her WWE career so far, Tiffany Stratton has won the WWE Women’s Title and the US Women’s Title in about two years on the main roster, and has also won the Money in the Bank briefcase. Prior to her main roster run, Stratton was an NXT Women’s Champion, too.
At 27, Stratton has already established herself as one of the top female superstars in WWE, and likely has many years ahead as a top star in the company.
While speaking on her live stream earlier this week, Stratton talked about some of the other names that could have been given to her.
“So, it was between Tiffany Stratton or Veronica Swanson. Do you guys think I look like a Veronica? Veronica Swanson.
But the name I would like, I actually thought about this a long time ago and I’m like, ‘Why didn’t I put it down?’ – I thought about doing the name Darby, so I could be the Darby Doll, but I don’t think they would have gone for that.
I’m really happy (with Tiffany Stratton). It’s my mom’s name, I like the name Tiffany a lot.”
Tiffany Stratton Doesn’t Plan On Being Left Off WrestleMania Again
At WrestleMania 41 in 2025, Tiffany Stratton beat Charlotte Flair to win the Women’s US Title. A year later, Stratton wasn’t even on WrestleMania this year. That was a surprise considering that on the SmackDown after WrestleMania in Fort Worth, Texas, Tiffany Stratton defeated Giulia to win the Women’s United States Title.
Following her WrestleMania snub, Tiffany Stratton gave an interview in which she made it clear she won’t be kept off a WrestleMania card again.
“I feel like my mindset has always been just kind of controlling what I can control, which is making the most out of all my segments, making the most out of my matches, making sure I’m delivering on everything and having really good matches with everybody.
And unfortunately, being on WrestleMania wasn’t in the cards for me this year. However, that just kind of leaves me with a chip on my shoulder for next year, and I’m going to do everything in my power to never let that happen ever again.”
Regarding a possible heel turn, Tiffany Stratton seems open to it.
“I’m kind of just me. And honestly, for the past year, I felt a little stale. After I won the title, there weren’t really any crazy storylines, and I could feel that.”
“So I want to bring back some spunk. We’re going to lean into a little more heel-ish Tiffany — add a little spice. We’re going to play around with some things, so I’m excited about that. But yeah, I’m not really sure why the crowd cheers me when I’m giving off a heel-ish kind of vibe. You know what I mean?”
While Stratton’s attitude about the situation is a good thing to see, it’s important to remember that who is and isn’t on the WrestleMania card is a result of what the creative team has planned, and if a wrestler isn’t in the plans, then they are going to be on the sidelines.
