The Ricochet controversy has seemingly taken a toll on Samantha Irvin.

Following his AEW National Championship loss at Revolution, Ricochet mocked a fan suffering from multiple sclerosis on X, inviting severe backlash online.

He even tried defending his action by accusing the Internet Wrestling Community of dishing out something it cannot take. However, he later issued a public apology to Sandi, the fan with MS.

I took out my hatred for the IWC on Sandi, and inadvertently others who are effected by MS. She didnt deserve it and for that, I sincerely apologize.

Moving forward I’ll do better.

Despite the apology, the issue has refused to die down, with the effects now seemingly being felt at home. Ricochet’s wife and former WWE announcer, Samantha Irvin, has deactivated her X account.

Elsewhere, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer claimed that the 37-year-old wrestler might be at risk of losing his job in AEW, stating, “If he’s crossing his fingers, it’s hoping he’s still employed by the end of the week.

Samantha Irvin Will Not Return To WWE

Samantha Irvin originally planned on becoming a wrestler, even auditioning at the Performance Center, but was unsuccessful.

The company, though, brought her on as a ring announcer, a role she held from 2021 to 2024, before announcing her departure.

Ever since, she has been serving her two-year non-compete clause, while also remaining focused on building a music career.

Like Ricochet, she has been active on Twitter, regularly interacting with fans. During one such exchange, Samantha Irvin confirmed that he would not return to WWE.

“I’m not going back to WWE 🙏🏽”

As for Ricochet and his online antics, the story continues to develop, showing no signs of stopping. Irvin, meanwhile, comes as collateral on this unceasing ride.
