Rusev Reveals Plans To Run For Political Office

Rusev

Rusev Day could be every day as the WWE star reveals his plan to run for political office.

The worlds of pro wrestling and politics have mixed over the years. Jesse Ventura served as the Mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, in the early nineties before taking the next step and becoming the Governor of Minnesota in 1999, serving one term.

Ventura’s fellow WWE Hall of Famer Kane is now best known as Glenn Jacobs, the current Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, having taken up the role in September 2018.

Now it seems current WWE star Rusev has his sights set on following in their footsteps, but not in the United States of America.

Rusev Wants Political Job

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Rusev was asked if he had thought about what his life after wrestling could look like, and he revealed he wanted to get involved with politics in his native Bulgaria:

Oh yeah. Well I have thought about it of course and I wanted to be a mayor of my hometown in Bulgaria.

Rusev also revealed he’s planning to go back to school to be ready for such an important role:

I just missed sign up because I do wanted to go back to school but I missed the enrollment date. So next year I’m definitely signing up. I’m going to school for public administration and Bulgarian school because I want to learn their system.
