Rusev Makes Major Non-WWE Move
Rusev has now launched a new brand with a former WWE star.
WWE star Rusev has always been open about wanting to start a pro-wrestling school. He spoke about it during his appearance on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast a few months ago. He spoke about his partnership with his friend and former WWE star Gangrel.
Now the pair has officially launched their own wrestling school called KECH in Nashville, Tennessee. The school’s official Instagram page shared a promotional post that read as follows:
The mats are down. The ring is up. The doors are open. Thank you to everyone who showed up, trained, watched, asked questions, and believed in what we’re building. This is only the beginning. KECH Pro Wrestling Academy is officially underway. Train like a pro. Trained by a pro.

KECH Pro Wrestling is now open in Nashville, TN, and is dedicated to training both adults and kids.
Rusev praised Gangrel during his appearance on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast and talked about how he will be an official trainer in the new wrestling school and that he would be moving from Florida to Tennessee.
We have Gangrel who’s going to be the other trainer as well. He is [moving to Nashville], yes. He’s a Florida guy, but he’s been screwed so many times by all these people who promise him things. And he’s helped me so much. He helped this other Bulgarian kid who came from Bulgaria to wrestle, Metal. He trained him as well. So it was time for me and him to do something that he’ll be able to finally be like, ‘Hey, this is it.’
He’s great, man. His training is great. It’s very old-school training. And maybe some people don’t want to hear that, but he’s real. He’s going to keep it real. He’s going to teach you real. He’s not going to be like, ‘Hey, let’s do a little bit of this, a little bit of that.’ No. He’s really big on basics, and that’s what people lack a lot of the times.”
Rusev Is Currently In The Intercontinental Championship Picture
Rusev was part of a six-man ladder match at WrestleMania 42 for Penta’s Intercontinental Title. The match saw a memorable spot in which Je’Von Evans landed the OG Cutter on Rusev while Rusev was attempting to climb the ladder to grab the title.
This led to a rivalry of sorts, and the two battled it out this past week on Raw in a singles match, which Evans won, defeating The Bulgarian Brute in his first-ever singles match against him.
