Rumored WWE WrestleMania Match Postponed; New Date Possibly Revealed
WWE has been building the WrestleMania 42 card over the last couple of months.
With only one Raw and SmackDown taping left before the Show of Shows, scheduled on April 18 & 19, it remains to be seen if any new matches get added to the existing card.
One of the most prominent rivalries was speculated to culminate at the Grandest Stage of Them All, but it turns out that the Stamford promotion may be withholding it for another date.
The ongoing feud between El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) and the ‘Original’ El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) reached a boiling point on the April 11 taping of AAA Lucha Libre on FOX.
On the show, Original faced Octagon Jr. in a singles match, which he won, but not before unmasking the Mexican luchador.
After the match, he went rogue and attacked comedian Alexis Arroyo at ringside before working on Octagon’s leg again. Andea Bazarte, who is Kaiser’s real-life girlfriend, slapped Original, hoping that he would release his hold, which he did.
He, however, charged at Bazarte, forcing Americano to come out and attack him. Despite the security trying to stop them, the WWE namesake superstars continued brawling with each other.
Their brawl continued even after the main event match, where Penta successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo. After being broken up, Americano challenged Original for a Mask vs. Mask match.
While fans hoped to see the high-stakes match at WrestleMania 42, Bodyslam.net has reported that their match will supposedly take place at Noche de Los Grandes on May 30.
