Royce Keys Names One Of His Main WWE Goals
Royce Keys has many goals in WWE, but one of his primary objectives is to win championship gold.
Before joining WWE, Keys was part of Tony Khan’s roster in AEW, where he competed under the ring name Powerhouse Hobbs. Shortly after leaving AEW, he signed with WWE and made his debut at the Royal Rumble on January 31, 2026. Entering at #14, he made an immediate impact by eliminating Damian Priest before eventually being eliminated by Bronson Reed.
For the next couple of months, Royce Keys primarily competed in dark matches before making his WWE SmackDown debut on April 10, where he defeated Berto in a dominant squash match. He added another major accomplishment to his resume when he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 17 edition of SmackDown.
Royce Keys Eyeing Gold In WWE
Royce Keys recently sat down for an interview with SportsBoom, where he was asked about his goals for 2026 in WWE. Keys stated that he wants to have a championship belt around his waist, making it clear that winning gold is a top priority.
He also mentioned that he wants to improve his promo skills and become more comfortable speaking to the audience, noting that strong mic work is essential for connecting with fans.
“Have a championship belt around my waist. It’s gonna happen… Talking to the audience, you can always get better at promos. You can always figure out a different way or how to get better connecting with the audience. One person that comes to mind is Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts.
He reminds me of my grandfather, because my grandfather was stern and he knew he was serious, and he didn’t have to yell. You look back at old Jake Roberts’ promos, he never yelled. But you knew he was serious.” [H/T SportsBoom]
