Ronda Rousey Reveals If She’s Joining AEW Full-Time
Ronda Rousey addressed the possibility of joining AEW full-time.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet made a surprise appearance at AEW Revolution last March to support her real-life best friend, Marina Shafir.
Since then, rumors have suggested Rousey could be heading to Tony Khan’s promotion. Ahead of Double or Nothing, Khan addressed Rousey’s status during the media call, revealing that the door remains open for her to join the company if she chooses to.
I’ve enjoyed working with her in Ring of Honor and having her at AEW Revolution. Anytime she wants to come back to AEW, she’s welcome. I would love to have her anytime when she’s available to fight in AEW. She’s one of the great names in combat sports and someone who is a great presence anytime she is here in AEW. Ronda Rousey Isn’t Interested In Joining AEW
In a recent interview on Up & Adams, Ronda Rousey responded to Tony Khan’s invitation, revealing that she has no interest in becoming a full-time AEW wrestler.
The former WWE Women’s Champion noted that her AEW appearance only happened because she was in town at the time.
Adams: “[Your daughter] doesn’t want you to say I’m staying, I’m gonna do AEW, which is a hot topic right now…Are you interested in that, though? Tony said the door is open. Talk to me about how realistic that is.”
Rousey: “No, that life of being on the road is probably more time-consuming than doing training camp at home.”
Adams: “You had fun though!”
Rousey: “I had a great time. But it just happened to be in town, and my best friend was there. You know what I mean?” [H/T: cagesideseats]
