Roman Reigns Set For Surprising Night Of Champions Match

Roman Reigns The Bloodline

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is not a happy man, despite being on track to become the first man since Hulk Hogan to hold a WWE world title for 1,000 days.

Instead, Reigns is becoming increasingly fixated on what sees as the failures of other members of his family following The Usos losing their WWE Tag Team Championship to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 39.

On SmackDown in Knoxville, Tennessee, Roman Reigns addressed The Bloodline and began by discussing his uncertainty over Solo Sikoa initially joining the group. But Reigns had nothing but good things to say about his enforcer, noting that when it was time to sink or swim, he swam like a shark.

The Usos, however, were not treated as kindly. Reigns noted that they no longer had a problem with Zayn and Owens but rather now the group had a problem with Jimmy and Jey. Reigns got physical, shoving Jimmy in the face as he demanded an apology which Jey gave him before pleading for one more chance to reclaim the WWE Tag Team Championship.

However, The Tribal Chief had another idea for those titles and Paul Heyman announced that at Night of Champions, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will defend their gold against The Bloodline but instead of The Usos, they will face Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.

That match will also be noteworthy as it will be the first time Sami Zayn has competed in Saudi Arabia since WWE signed a multi-year deal with the Middle Eastern Kingdom to hold major stadium shows. Kevin Owens has only competed on one of those shows – the first one – back at the Greatest Royal Rumble in the spring of 2018.
