Roman Reigns Says “There’s So Much Left To Do”

Roman Reigns is thrilled about the fact that he’s still the top guy in WWE while making it clear there’s still so much left to do.

The main event of WrestleMania 39 on Sunday night at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles saw Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes, who earned the title shot by the Royal Rumble.

Going into WrestleMania 39, it was 945 days for Roman Reigns as the WWE Universal Champion with many people predicting that Cody would be the man to put an end to the dominant championship run of the Tribal Chief.

As the match went on, Cody came close to winning a few times and so did Reigns. There was a referee bump, The Usos got involved until Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn took care of them, but Solo Sikoa ended up being a major factor with a cheap shot Samoan Spike on Cody that the referee never saw. Reigns hit a Spear after that and got the win to remain the champion.

At the WrestleMania post-show press conference, Reigns was in a jovial mood by bragging about his victory. Reigns also made it clear that they are still very early in whatever storyline plans he has regarding The Bloodline in WWE moving forward.

“(To Paul Heyman), what did you say earlier today? We’re in the third inning? If this is baseball, we’re just in the third inning.”

For those of you that don’t like baseball, a baseball game has nine innings, so if Roman Reigns says it’s the third inning then there’s a lot of time left.

“There is so much left to do. We said it for a long time, we’re just scratching the surface. I told y’all, it had to be a month after we came back in 2020 after SummerSlam, we’re going to change the whole game. We’re not going to follow suit, we’re not going to run it like TikTok and YouTube Shorts, we’re going to expand you people and upon up your attention span.”

“You’re gonna have to pay attention for longer than 20 seconds y’all because that’s what we’re doing. We’re out here make filet mignon. This isn’t McDonald’s or Burger King. It’s not fast food. We’re giving you the good stuff. I meant it and I kept my word.”

Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw takes place at the Crypto.com Arena with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline likely making an appearance. We will have a full review on TJRWrestling later.
