Roman Reigns Segment Confirmed For WWE Raw; Multiple Matches Announced
Roman Reigns is scheduled for an appearance as WWE Raw emanates from Greensboro, North Carolina, on May 18.
On last week’s taping of the red brand, Reigns came face-to-face with his cousin, Jacob Fatu, after defeating him at Backlash to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.
Like their last couple of segments, it too broke out into a fight, as the bloodline members traded heavy shots. Reigns even attacked The Samoan Werewolf with a chair, but could not keep him down for long.
Fatu then resorted to the use of the dreaded Tongan Death Grip to neutralize the Original Tribal Chief. There on, Fatu dominated the brawl before putting Reigns through the commentator’s desk with a powerbomb.
The officials soon arrived, but Fatu continued with his attacks, even taking out a couple of officials, including general manager Adam Pearce. He then went into the ring and grabbed the World Heavyweight Championship, which he raised over his head.
Taking to his social media account, Pearce announced that Roman Reigns would be present on WWE Raw in a dedicated segment. He is expected to admonish Fatu for last week’s attack while possibly carving a path for their future feud.
WWE Women’s Tag Titles To Be Defended On Raw
Adam Pearce also confirmed that Paige and Brie Bella will defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
After being called out by Rodriguez and Perez, both Paige and Brie came to Raw to confront their title challengers. After a back-and-forth argument, both teams threw hands at each other, but Liv Morgan’s entry turned the tide against the champions.
Following their attack, The Judgment Day celebrated with the tag titles, as Morgan held her Women’s World Championship aloft.
Pearce then announced a Tornado Six-Man match between El Grande Americano & Los Americanos and the ‘Original’ El Grande Americano & Los Americanos Hermanos.
The six men clashed at the latest episode of AAA Lucha Libre. At one point, Los Americanos were outnumbered before El Grande Americano joined them to even the odds.
The El Grande Americanos are scheduled to compete in a Mask vs. Mask match at Noche de Los Grandes on May 30.
Also on WWE Raw, the Oba Femi open challenge will continue. Last week, none of the wrestlers turned up to challenge Femi, forcing The Ruler to drag the Los Garza duo of Angel and Berto to the ring and squash them in a 2-on-1 handicap match.
