It hasn’t taken long for reference to be made to Vince McMahon’s WWE exit, with Roman Reigns taking an early opportunity to comment.

With the final edition of Monday Night Raw before SummerSlam emanating from the iconic Madison Square Garden, the tempo of the show started extremely quickly. Following a hectic brawl between Logan Paul and The Miz ahead of their encounter at ‘the hottest show of the summer’, Roman Reigns and The Bloodline headed to the ring.

After asking the crowd to acknowledge him, ‘The Head Of The Table’ handed the microphone to Paul Heyman who sang the praises of the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and made it clear everyone is bored of hearing about Brock Lesnar. At this point, Heyman was interrupted by Theory, who had plenty to say himself about SummerSlam.

Theory reminded everyone that he is planning to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase at SummerSlam, capitalising on the No Holds Barred encounter between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.

It was at this point Roman Reigns commented that “Your daddy’s not here anymore”, a reference to Vince McMahon retiring from WWE amid allegations of misconduct. Over the last few months, McMahon had been acting as an on-screen mentor for Theory, granting him plenty of opportunities including allowing him to the mystery entrant in the Money In The Bank ladder match.

The comment led to the crowd aiming “Daddy’s gone” and then “Who’s your daddy?” chants at Theory. He retaliated as The Bloodline went to leave, nailing Jey Uso with his Money In The Bank briefcase, with Roman Reigns stopping his cousins retaliating.
