Roman Reigns recently gave a massive shoutout to former NXT standouts.

This year’s WrestleMania 42 match card was stacked with former NXT standouts like Oba Femi, who faced Brock Lesnar in a singles match, Trick Williams, who challenged Sami Zayn for the United States Championship, and Je’Von Evans, who participated in the six-man Intercontinental Championship ladder match.

Roman Reigns, who challenged CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on April 19, sat down for an interview on ESPN First Take ahead of WrestleMania 42, where he was asked which talents he would like to face from the match card.

Roman replied that he would love to take on former NXT standouts like Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Carmelo Hayes, as he sees great potential in them and expects them to become big superstars in the near future.

“Oba Femi, no doubt,” Reigns said. “There’s a lot of great young talent. I really like what I’m seeing from Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Carmelo Anthony, no, Carmelo Hayes, sorry, excuse me.”

“And he’s been up for a little while. He’s had a different route than the other guys. So, I’ve really liked the resiliency that he’s shown and he’s torn it up on SmackDown for a while now. So I’m looking for big things from him, too.”

At WrestleMania 42, Oba Femi shockingly defeated Brock Lesnar, after which the WWE Universe saw The Beast Incarnate seemingly hint at his retirement.

Trick Williams captured the United States Championship by defeating Sami Zayn in his WrestleMania debut. Williams was accompanied by rapper Lil Yachty during his entrance.

Je’Von Evans failed to win the Intercontinental Championship in the ladder match, as Penta ultimately retained his title. As for Carmelo Hayes, he was not on this year’s WrestleMania 42 match card. However, he has been gaining a lot of praise for his recent work on SmackDown.
