Roman Reigns’ Laid Out On WWE RAW As Contract Signing Takes Ugly Turn

The main event of WWE RAW tonight was one that the fans were looking forward to all night, as the contract signing between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu was scheduled for the final segment of the show.

The two cousins are set to face each other at WWE Backlash this coming weekend as Jacob Fatu is determined to dethrone Reigns as the World Heavyweight Champion.

Fatu stepped up to his cousin on the RAW after WrestleMania 42, and the match was confirmed on last week’s episode after Reigns accepted his challenge following an attack on him by Jacob Fatu.

Both men met in the ring tonight for the contract signing, where Roman Reigns addressed Fatu’s actions from last week. He chastized him for using the Tongan Death Grip, claiming that the move is only used in a desperate attempt and isn’t supposed to be used on family.

Jacob Fatu takes out Roman Reigns on WWE RAW

Fatu stated that Roman doesn’t understand that he is desperate to become the World Heavyweight Champion to get the perks of being a champion so that he can provide a better life for his family.

Reigns and Fatu got into an altercation over this as Reigns said that he’s taking care of the entire Bloodline, not just Jacob’s family. He berated him by telling Fatu that he’s inferior to him in the ring.

This prompted Fatu to attack Roman once again, but the champ was prepared this time. He got out of the Death Grip on two different occasions and began attacking Fatu.

Roman looked to take him out with a Superman Punch, but was caught in the Tongan Death Grip this time. He was almost choked out by Fatu before he slammed Reigns onto the table and signed the contract for their WWE Championship match.
