Supercard of Honor is one of ROH’s biggest events and was an annual feature of their calendar from 2006 until 2019, usually taking place during WWE’s WrestleMania weekend. In 2019, the promotion partnered with New Japan Pro Wrestling for the event which was held under the G1 Supercard name at Madison Square Garden.

This is welcome news for fans of ROH after the company announced in October that it would be going on hiatus after the Final Battle event in December. At the time it was suggested that a “reimagined” version of the company would return in the first quarter of 2022, but many still feared it would be the end of the road for the popular promotion.

While ROH hasn’t been producing any content of its own, the ROH World Championship was recently featured at IMPACT Wrestling’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view. At the event, Jonathan Gresham successfully defended the title against Chris Sabin.

The show was also the scene of an ‘ROH invasion’ with Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Maria Kanellis-Bennett, Vincent and PCO attacking Rich Swann, Heath, Rhino, Willie Mack and Eddie Edwards.
