Ric Flair AEW Contract Length Confirmed

More details about Ric Flair’s deal with AEW have been confirmed.

On November 2nd it was announced that Ric Flair has signed a huge multi-year contract with AEW. The new deal will see Flair’s Wooooo Energy brand become the official energy drink of AEW.

The announcement comes just days after the Nature Boy made his AEW debut as a surprise for Sting. A week earlier, The Icon revealed that he’ll retire at AEW Revolution in early 2024.

Shortly after the news of Flair’s deal became public, it was reported that it mirrors the contract that took Randy Savage to WCW in the 1990s. In simple terms, this means the energy drink company will foot the bill for a large part of Flair’s salary.

There is no word on whether the deal will see Flair regularly appear on AEW television, although the man himself has hinted his October 25th appearance on Dynamite won’t be a one-off.

Meanwhile, it’s now been confirmed that Flair’s deal with AEW is for two years. Flair and his business partner, Chad Bronstein gave the details in an interview with Wrestling Observer Radio.

“We signed a two-year contract with AEW. We work with AEW for two years. Ric is also going to be part of AEW for the next two years as well, and however long he wants,”

Ric Flair Wants To Go Toe-To-Toe With MJF

Speaking elsewhere, Ric Flair said he wants to clash with MJF on the microphone. The 16-time World Champion still backs himself as one of the best talkers in the game and believes a verbal showdown with the AEW World Champion would do big business.
