Bianca Belair has been on a nearly one-year-long hiatus following an injury she suffered last year.

Belair sustained a severe finger injury at WrestleMania 41 during her triple-threat match against Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. It happened when The Eradicator accidentally landed on her hand during the match.

It was initially expected to be an 8–12 week recovery, but unfortunately, it stretched to nearly a year because her finger joint would not bend properly. Even after months of physical therapy, she had to undergo surgery in February 2026 to finally repair the joint.

However, a recent update from Rhea Ripley revealed that her finger still hasn’t healed properly.

Rhea Ripley Says Bianca Belair’s Finger Is Still Swollen

Speaking to SHAK Wrestling, Ripley shared that Bianca recently sent photos of her injured finger to her, and in those images, it still looked “gnarly and swollen”. Ripley added that Bianca won’t be able to return to the ring unless her finger bends properly; otherwise, she risks breaking it again.

It’s honestly, it’s not the same without Bianca there. Um, I miss her. I hope that she comes back soon, but at the same time, like I also hope she’s living her best life, not having to go to work for a little bit. Yeah. Like she’s busted her a** for so long. They’ve literally made her do so much and work so much. She deserves the time off.

I wish it was under a better circumstance because that finger be looking nasty. It’s shocked me that she’s been out for nearly a year from a finger injury. Something that seems so small is something that’s so big. And I’ve seen the photos. She sent me the photos. So thank you, Bianca. They’re pretty gnarly looking. And um, ah man, I just, I really hope that she comes back soon. Like I really do.

But that finger just, it’s so fat. It’s so swollen. It’s just, yeah. And she’s doing rehab every single day. And I’m looking forward to the day that she does come back. But I don’t know how long that’s going to be, unfortunately, because you need your finger to bend in wrestling, otherwise you’re going to break it again. [8:30 – 9:40]
