Bianca Belair is making progress toward a WWE return.

The last time Bianca Belair competed in a WWE match was at WrestleMania 41 when she faced Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. The three women had an absolutely incredible match, regarded as one of the best WWE women’s matches of all time.

Unfortunately for Belair, she suffered broken fingers during the match and hasn’t been able to wrestle since that WrestleMania match nearly one year ago.

Belair had finger surgery in February and has been working hard to rehab it the best way she can.

In an update, Bodyslam.net Patreon reports that Bianca Belair has been doing light training as she prepares to return to in-ring competition.

It’s not known yet when Belair will be able to return to a WWE ring, but after nearly a year on the sidelines, the former 3-time Women’s Champion is likely eager to step back into the ring as part of WWE’s stacked women’s division.

Mark Henry Knew Bianca Belair Could Be A WWE Superstar

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently explained how he discovered Bianca Belair, which led to her signing a WWE deal nearly 10 years ago in April 2016. Since then, she’s had an incredible career and is likely a future WWE Hall of Famer.

“I saw Bianca Belair at the national championships for CrossFit, and she’s doing cartwheels. You’re supposed to be conserving your energy, and she’s doing cartwheels between the implements.

She had on like a fluffy tutu and a big, giant Mickey Mouse bow in her hair while she was competing. I said, ‘This girl don’t need to be in this; she needs to be a wrestler. ’

So I looked her up on social media, and she was like 18, 17, something like that, and I was like ‘damn, I ain’t calling no young girl, let me see who could do this for me’. So I got Mark Carrano to get one of the ladies, Holly was the one that called her. I said ‘Can you call this girl and get her information, find out who her mom and dad is? I need to talk to somebody’s parents. ’

So they reached out and called the girl, she was like ‘Mark Henry, like the wrestler Mark Henry?’ I said, ‘Tell her I need to talk to her dad, or mom or somebody.’

Her dad called me the next day, and I talked to him. He said ‘Is this really the real Mark Henry? We’ve been watching wrestling for years!’ I was like, yeah! It was meant to be!”

It has been reported that WWE’s original plans called for Bianca Belair to challenge former tag team partner Jade Cargill for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 42, but Belair isn’t ready to return. Rhea Ripley is in Belair’s place as Cargill’s WrestleMania opponent.
