Rey Mysterio Admits Dominik Mysterio Doing Incredible Job In WWE

Rey Mysterio Dominik Mysterio

WWE Hall Of Famer Rey Mysterio has praised the growth of son Dominik in WWE.

Dominik Mysterio enjoyed a breakthrough year in WWE, featuring prominently as a member of The Judgment Day whilst enjoying two reigns as NXT North American Champion, the most recent of which came to an end at the hands of Dragon Lee at NXT Deadline on 9th December.

Memorably, Father and Son embarked upon a bitter personal feud that culminated in a classic 15-minute outing on Night One of WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, with the experience of Rey Mysterio ultimately seeing him through to a famous win.

Despite disapproving of the manner of many of his son’s victories, Rey Mysterio was gracious enough to heap praise upon Dominik’s in-ring growth during the 29th December edition of SmackDown.

The episode served as a ‘Best Of 2023’ clip show, but included newly recorded comments from the likes of Rey Mysterio:

“I truly hope so as a father that he finds his way. I mean, deep down inside I give him credit for what he’s accomplished.

He’s my son, he turned his back on me, but overall his growth in that ring has been tremendous and I can’t take that away from him. He’s doing an incredible job as the person he wants to be.”

Rey Mysterio Provides Update On In-Ring Absence

Rey Mysterio has been absent from WWE since 10th November, following a vicious beat down by Santos Escobar on SmackDown.

The 49-year-old has revealed that he was written off television due to a real-life injury and recently provided an update on his in-ring status.
