It is being reported this evening that former Impact Wrestling World Champion Brian Cage has signed with All Elite Wrestling, according to So Cal Uncensored. Cage’s contract with Impact recently expired and he has decided to sign a multi-year contract with AEW.
While Cage is expected to start with AEW “soon” he is also expected to make his previously scheduled independent wrestling bookings.
Cage wrestled at Impact’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view tonight and went to a no-contest with Rob Van Dam in their match. Cage was also a Gift of the Gods Champion when he worked for Lucha Underground as well. It’s not known if he is going to wrestle again for Impact Wrestling again.
Cage will turn 36 years old on February 2. He is married to ring announcer Melissa Santos. They have a daughter together.
While Cage is not necessarily a tall guy at 5’11” or so, he is very muscular and has an impressive look to him. It will definitely allow him to stand out on AEW shows.
Cage’s wife Melissa Santos is denying the signing.

TJR Thoughts: I think it’s a great signing for AEW because Cage has an impressive look to him and he’s pretty good in the ring too. He also has a lot of experience since he’s in his mid-30s and he’s been wrestling regularly for the last 15 years. Good luck to him.
