Renee Paquette Could Debut On Tonight’s AEW Dynamite

Renee Paquette on commentary

A new report has shed light on the status of Renee Paquette, who is reportedly due to debut with AEW any day now.

Renee Paquette may soon be All Elite.

The ex-WWE broadcaster is reportedly set to sign for the Tony Khan-helmed promotion as soon as this week’s AEW Dynamite from Toronto, reports SEScoops. Following Fightful Select reporting that WWE believed her to be heading to AEW, numerous sources have now told SEScoops of her reported start date, with one going so far as to outright say she “could possibly debut…this week”.

Renee Paquette, who went by Renee Young in WWE, spent eight years with WWE between 2012 and 2020. Serving in such roles as backstage interview, colour commentator, and Tough Enough co-host, Renee also became WWE’s first full-time female announcer in over a decade, while her 2018 transition to Raw commentary made her the red brand’s inaugural full-time female broadcaster.

Announcing her departure from WWE at SummerSlam 2020, Renee Paquette left behind her a successful career and an impeccable body of work, laying the groundwork for more female announcers to pave their way across WWE programming.

She’s made only sporadic appearances for WWE since departing, hosting a SmackDown pre-show to commence the blue brand’s second year on Fox, as well as a special WWE Backstage edition ahead of the 2021 Royal Rumble. Since 2021, Renee Paquette has also hosted her own podcast, The Sessions.
