Renee Paquette Believed By WWE To Be AEW Bound

Renee Paquette/Renee Young

A new report claims that Renee Paquette is expected by WWE to be joining All Elite Wrestling.

Although the report from Fightful Select is quick to note that they have received no direct, official confirmation from any party, it would seem indications are that former WWE broadcaster Renee Paquette is believed by her former employer to be on her way to AEW.

Fightful was told by WWE sources on Friday night that they believe Renee Paquette is headed to All Elite Wrestling. Give Me Sport’s Louis has heard that WWE reached out to Renee about coming back to the company, which we’ve yet to confirm. Fightful reached out to Renee and AEW, who have not confirmed the move at all.

There has been plenty of speculation that Renee Paquette would follow her husband Jon Moxley to AEW, with many surprised that the move hasn’t happened sooner. Moxley has recently signed a new five-year deal, which sees him tied “exclusively” to the company. In the past Moxley has appeared on a number of independent shows including the likes of GCW, which he will seemingly no longer do.

Renee Paquette joined WWE in 2012, remaining with the company for eight years. Working under the name Renee Young she worked in a number of on-screen roles, including becoming the first female to hold a permanent position at the commentary desk for Monday Night Raw in 2018.

Paquette’s last show as a full-time member of WWE was at SummerSlam 2020, however she has continued to make sporadic appearances since then. She also launched The Sessions podcast, as well as releasing a cookbook.
