Released WWE Star Considering Return In New Role

This former NXT star has teased a comeback, but in a different role.

Former star Shayna Baszler is a two-time NXT Women’s Champion and three-time WWE Tag Team Champion.

Baszler held the tag gold twice with Nia Jax and once with Ronda Rousey.

She was released upon the expiration of her contract in July 2025 after eight years with the company. She currently wrestles in the independent circuit.

Shayna Baszler Wants To Return To WWE In A GM Role

Shayna Baszler appeared in a video package on NXT this past week as Kelani Jordan’s trainer to prepare Jordan for her NXT Underground match against Lola Vice at NXT Vengeance Day.

Her brief showing was well-received, and one fan on X posted that she should be back at NXT permanently.

To this, Baszler replied that she could consider applying for the role of general manager.
