Raw Underground Set For Surprising Return

Shane McMahon Omos Raw Underground

Fans of NXT are set to see something WWE fans have not seen since September 2020 as Raw Underground is set to return.

NXT Gold Rush saw a huge night of action as Seth Rollins put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Bron Breakker. Rollins managed to overcome Breakker’s challenge but his next challenger had the last laugh as Finn Balor jumped Rollins from behind before being chased off by Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.

Wes Lee retained his NXT North American Championship against Tyler Bate but that victory was somewhat overshadowed by the antics of special referee Mustafa Ali who behaved erratically throughout without taking either man’s side decisively.

There are now new number one contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championship as well as Edris Enofe & Malik Blade defeated Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen and Hank Walker & Tank Ledger is a triple threat match.

Damon Kemp told Eddy Thorpe that he’s come up with the stipulation that he wants for their next bout as he challenged Thorpe to meet him in a Raw Underground match. Raw Underground was the short-lived segment fronted by Shane McMahon that saw WWE stars take part in fight club-style matches away from the ring. It remains to be seen if the same setup will be used for the bout between Thorpe and Kemp.
