Randy Orton Shockingly Attacks Cody Rhodes’ Best Friend Backstage On WWE SmackDown

Randy Orton established himself as the biggest heel on WWE SmackDown last week after attacking Cody Rhodes ahead of their Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 42.

The Viper came out to the ring tonight and sat down to address the crowd regarding his actions. Orton solidified his heel turn after revealing his reasons behind the attack.

While Orton claimed that he still loves Cody, it doesn’t seem like the same love extends to some of Cody’s friends, as he attacked The American Nightmare’s best friend after his promo.

The 14-time WWE World Champion was walking backstage following his segment when a few SmackDown superstars exchanged looks with him. One of them was Cody Rhodes’ best friend, Matt Cardona, who stepped up to Orton.

Cardona questioned Randy’s actions, stating that he has known them both for decades, which triggered Orton, and he punched him to the ground, asking Matt to stay away from his business.
