Dominik Mysterio will need to watch out if this version of his rival returns at WWE WrestleMania 42.

Dominik Mysterio lost the Intercontinental Championship to Penta a month ago on Raw when his then Judgement Day factionmate, Finn Balor, refused to help him out illegally to win the bout.

This led to tensions between the two and eventually led to Balor being ambushed by Judgement Day members and kicked out of the faction.

Balor then interfered in Mysterio’s IC Title rematch against Penta a few weeks ago on Raw and cost him the match. The two men are now headed to WrestleMania 42 to settle scores.

WWE Star Finn Balor Could Return As His Demon Character At WrestleMania 42

Balor debuted his darker Demon persona in 2016 and had some success with it. He won his first WWE Universal Championship with this persona, but unfortunately had to vacate the title because of an injury just a day after winning it.

Balor moved away from the Demon persona after 2021 and has been wrestling as a version of his own self since.

However, in WWE’s Main Event show, Vic Jospeh said something in commentary that could have planted an easter egg for Balor’s Demon character to return against Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 42.

WrestleTalk posted about it on their X account:

Vic Joseph on commentary during WWE Main Event tonight “We’re gonna find out at WrestleMania, when Finn Balor takes on Dirty Dominik Mysterio, we’re gonna find out just what’s on the mind – maybe the DEMONIC mind – of Finn Balor.”

Dirty Dom will pull out all the stops to beat Balor, and the latter could use some extra edge, which he could get from the persona that, at its peak, was unbeatable.

WWE Main Event saw qualifying matches for the Intercontinental Title ladder match announced by Champion Penta for WrestleMania 42. The whole show is available for streaming on YouTube.
