Danhausen still needs a partner at WWE Backlash, and a new report suggests it could be a celebrity.

The 5-match card at WWE Backlash is complete, except for one match.

After having issues with The Miz and Kit Wilson since debuting in WWE, Danhausen will face the duo in a tag team match at Backlash on May 9th in Tampa. The problem is, Danhausen needs a tag team partner.

On the May 1st edition of WWE SmackDown, Danhausen thought that The Miz would finally become an ally. Nope. It didn’t happen. Instead, The Miz and Wilson attacked Danhausen, including Miz hitting a Skull Crushing Finale. Wilson went up top and hit an elbow drop on Danhausen, which the fans hated. Miz and Wilson celebrated to end the segment.

The May 8th edition of WWE SmackDown, Wilson said that the only person toxic enough to team with Danhausen is himself, so they suggested that Hausen clone himself. That led to a ridiculous segment with Hausen trying to clone himself, which didn’t work of course, and Hausen is still without a partner.

While there’s been no confirmation on who Danhausen’s partner will be, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer wrote to his subscribers on X that the Grammy Award winning singer Jelly Roll could be the mystery partner at Backlash.

“I can’t confirm this but I am hearing speculation that the mystery partner for Danhausen is, in fact, Jelly Roll, which would make a LOT more sense than an unadvertised PLE appearance by CM Punk.”

Danhausen’s Potential Partner, Jelly Roll, Has Already Beaten Kit Wilson

WWE fans know that not only is Jelly Roll a talented singer who has won awards and lost over 200 pounds, but he’s also a massive WWE fan.

In his first WWE match, Jelly Roll teamed with Randy Orton in a losing effort against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul at SummerSlam. WWE wanted Jelly to win the match, but Jelly is such a WWE fan that he wanted to lose because he thought it would be more realistic.

On the March 27th edition of SmackDown, Jelly Roll got his first WWE victory when he beat Kit Wilson with a Chokeslam in a match that went about six minutes.

Danhausen is also undefeated as a WWE superstar, with his two wins coming over Kit Wilson (on April 10) and The Miz (on April 24).

Based on their success over the likes of Wilson and Miz, perhaps the team of Danhausen and Jelly Roll will have success at Backlash if that’s the actual team at the show.
