Post Malone is a popular musician that also recently got to do Triple H’s memorable “water spit” entrance backstage at a show in New York City.

When Paul “Triple H” Levesque started in WWE in 1995, he was a snobby rich character named Hunter Hearst Helmsley. By late 1997, he became Triple H as a co-creator of D-Generation X along with his best friend Shawn Michaels.

As Triple H got a bigger push to the main event scene by 1999 and for the next two decades after, he was known for having a memorable entrance. Prior to every match, Triple H would walk out to the ring with a bottle of water, he would take a sip, stand on the ring apron, extend his arms out and do the huge water spit pose every single time. Fans knew it, they mimicked it with him and possibly even tried it in a pool or the shower in their lifetime as well.

On October 12th, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon-Levesque, who is WWE’s Chairwoman and Co-CEO, went to a Post Malone concert at Madison Square Garden.

The heavily tattooed Malone played a 23-song set including several songs from his new album Twelve Carat Toothache along with some of his bigger songs like Circles, Sunflower, White Iverson and Better Now to name a few. Malone also will play at MSG on October 13th, so it’s back-to-back to shows in New York City. (Thanks to BrooklynVegan.)

During a backstage moment, Triple H posted a video on Twitter where he did the classic water spit gesture with Malone.

It was also posted to Post Malone’s TikTok account as well.

While Triple H retired as an active wrestler in March 2022 due to heart surgery in September 2021, he remains as busy as ever since he’s in charge of WWE’s creative team following Vince McMahon’s retirement in late July. Triple H has received rave reviews the man in charge of WWE’s creative direction with many people in the company saying there’s a more “laid back” atmosphere while many released wrestlers have come back to the company like former WWE/Universal Champions Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt.

Triple H appeared on this past Monday’s October 10th edition of Raw along with Michaels, Road Dogg and X-Pac for a celebration of 25 years of D-Generation X. They were in the main evnet spot on the show doing all of their catchphrases while being cheered by the crowd.
