Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are no longer with WWE. The duo parted ways with the company on May 2 after they were asked to restructure their contracts.

Both stars had signed lucrative contract extensions that were supposed to run through 2030. However, because of a massive push from TKO to cut payroll, they were asked to restructure their seven-figure contracts to lower pay. They rejected the new offer and chose to walk away instead of accepting less pay.

Since leaving WWE, people have been guessing where the two superstars might land. Promotions like AEW, TNA, and ROH are some of the top destinations for the seasoned veterans.

A fan on social media recently tweeted that he would like to see Xavier Woods face Karrion Kross, who was released in 2025, in a singles match. The tweet got Karrion Kross’s attention, and he reacted by pitching an even better idea.

Kross pitched a one-night-only tag team with Kingston and Woods, expressing his desire to work with his former WWE colleagues.

Woods and Kingston are currently under a 90-day non-compete clause following their WWE exit, which means they will only be able to appear or perform in another promotion by August 2026. However, before that, they are free to make other public appearances, such as an upcoming one at GalaxyCon Oklahoma City.

Kofi Kingston, under the name Kofi, and Xavier Woods, under the name Austin Creed, will be attending the event scheduled for May 22-24.
