WWE & AEW Legend Paul Wight Shows Off Phenomenal Transformation

Paul Wight

Paul Wight, best known to WWE fans as The Big Show, has spent the last few years transitioning from a full-time in-ring competitor to a multifaceted role in AEW.

After signing with AEW in February 2021, Wight’s appearances have been more sporadic due to injuries and multiple surgeries, including replacement of both hips and knees, which have significantly limited his ability to compete physically.

Wight’s most recent match was in early January 2024 during the Jericho Cruise, where he teamed with Mike Bailey and Chris Jericho in a six-man bout. Since then, he has not wrestled regularly on AEW programming, with his last televised bout coming in November 2023 on AEW Dynamite.

Instead, he has been featured primarily in non-wrestling roles, including serving as a commentator and special guest on shows like AEW Collision and other AEW pre-show or special broadcast duties, most recently in January 2026.

Despite being absent from regular in-ring action, Wight has been clear that he isn’t ready to retire. In late 2025, he revealed he underwent a minor back surgery but insisted he still hopes to return to the ring at some point. Wight also remains under contract with AEW.

Paul Wight Loses A Huge Amount Of Weight

Now, he’s taken to social media to show that he’s perhaps closer to an in-ring return than ever, as he’s transformed his body with massive weight loss and revealed he’s aiming to get down to 360 pounds.

Currently 393lbs. Shooting for 360lbs. I truly appreciate the years of support.
