Paige Reveals Dad’s Unexpected Reaction To Private Tape Leak: “You Could Be Famous”
Paige was at one of the lowest points in her life when her private tape was leaked in 2017, but her father’s reaction is what helped her get through the horrific incident.
The new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion recently appeared on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast, where she shared that she had hit rock bottom after her private videos were leaked online. She revealed that she was pushed into deep depression and even had thoughts of suicide.

However, her father’s unexpected reaction ultimately saved her life. When he found out about the leak, he told her not to get disheartened and encouraged her to stay positive. He even tried to cheer her up by saying she could become as famous as Kim Kardashian.
“Me for this, I’m gonna kill myself. That was it, you know? I was like, I can’t be here anymore. I went through that stage of feeling like I was completely alone… I felt like, my dad is my life, you know, and if he can’t accept the fact that these tapes are out, I don’t know if I… I just… I was ready to do it. I was done.”
“He goes, you know what? You could be famous, like Kim Kardashian. That’s true. It could work in your favor. I was like, how the f*ck do you know Kim Kardashian? I was, like, so confused. He saved my life that day. He saved my life. He absolutely saved my life… that was the lowest I’ve ever been in my life.”
Paige also detailed a painful public incident while talking to Stephanie. She recalled being at a bar with her friends when someone approached her and called her a “p*rn star.” Paige said she immediately ran to the bathroom and broke down in tears, fearing that she would be remembered that way forever.
