Owen Hart Cup Brackets Revealed

The second men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments will kick off at Forbidden Door with CM Punk announced for a huge match on that show.

The first Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments took place in AEW in 2022 and saw Dr. Britt Baker DMD and Adam Cole come out on top at Double Or Nothing. Now the brackets for the 2023 edition have been revealed for the tournaments that will culminate in Hart’s hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada on the 15th of July.

CM Punk was announced for the tournament and his campaign will kick off at Forbidden Door when he faces Satoshi Kojima in the first round. The other three first-round men’s matches will take place on Collision in Hamilton, Ontario which airs on the 1st of July.

Those matches will see Roderick Strong face ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe, Dustin Rhodes take on Powerhouse Hobbs, and Juice Robinson meet Ricky Starks. The brackets see the winner of Joe/Strong meet the winner of Punk/Kojima in the semi-finals.

The women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will be the first to start as the first bout takes place on Rampage on the 23rd of June. That match sees Anna Jay take on Skye Blue while Nyla Rose and NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale meet on the 24th of June edition of Collision.

At Forbidden Door ROH Women’s Champion Athena will face Billie Starkz and Britt Baker will face Ruby Soho on the 28th of June edition of Dynamite. The brackets ensure that the winner of Baker/Soho will meet the winner of Jay/Blue while the winners of Rose/Nightingale and Athena/Starkz will meet in the other semi-final.
