WWE is set to hold Night of Champions on June 27 in Saudi Arabia.

But the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has raised questions about the event’s possible cancellation. However, despite the conflict, fans have been assured that the company is moving ahead with its scheduled plans.

While speaking on the TKO Financials media call, TKO COO Mark Shapiro confirmed that WWE will hold Night of Champions 2026 in Riyadh on June 27. He also confirmed that UFC will host UFC Fight Night Baku on the same night.

“I want to address activity in the Middle East and neighboring markets. First and foremost, we are firmly moving ahead with our scheduled events. UFC returns to Azerbaijan with Fight Night Baku on June 27.”

“That same night, WWE hosts Night of Champions from Riyhad, Saudi Arabia. This historic double header reflects a commitment by our respective partners and us to bring world-class events to fans across the region, even and despite a challenging environment.”

WWE Moving Ahead With Saudi Arabia Events Despite Regional Conflict

Shapiro reflected on TKO’s strong relationship with Saudi Arabia, stating that the country’s commitment to WWE and TKO remains “unwavering.”

“I would add that PIF withdrawing its funding of LIV Golf, our partners in Saudi Arabia have confirmed that will not be the case with TKO. Their commitment to our properties in 2026 and beyond is unwavering.”

“After these two events, we expect the remainder of our 2026 events in the Middle East, comprised of six events, to take place as planned. The demand is real, our partners are committed, and we are leaning in,” he stated.

Following Night of Champions 2026, WWE will hold another major premium live event in Riyadh, but it will take place next year.

WrestleMania 43 is set to be held in Saudi Arabia for the first time, marking the first occasion that WrestleMania will be staged outside North America. The event is reportedly scheduled to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the founding of the first Saudi state.
