After defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, Oba Femi has achieved an elite-level superstar reputation in WWE.

Femi and Lesnar’s encounter took place on Night 2 of WrestleMania on April 19. The match was surprisingly short, lasting only 4 minutes and 46 seconds. Lesnar took control of the match early on, taking Femi to Suplex City. However, to everyone’s surprise, Femi did not sell the suplexes.

Lesnar then delivered an F5 to Femi, but he immediately got back on his feet and followed it up with a massive chokeslam and his signature Fall From Grace powerbomb to defeat The Beast Incarnate.

Following Femi’s shocking win over Lesnar, Michael Cole even dubbed him “the next big thing,” a moniker that Lesnar famously held since his 2002 debut.

Vince Russo Believes Oba Femi’s Success Depends on WWE Booking

On the new episode of the Coach and Bro Show on April 20, Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo shared their reaction to the WrestleMania 42 premium live event. During the discussion, one fan asked them how Oba Femi’s future in WWE would look.

Vince Russo responded that Oba Femi is one of a kind and has great potential to be one of the greatest, but only if WWE gives him strong storylines. If WWE doesn’t book him in interesting storylines, it would be a waste of his talent, Russo said.

Give them stories, man. And they’re not going to do that. He’s a physical specimen. He’s going to go out there. He’s going to look the way he does. He can cut a cool promo. He’s going to kill people. And if they don’t give him stories, that’s just going to run its course, man. (52:11 – 52:27)

After decimating Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, Oba Femi made a dominant appearance on the Raw after WrestleMania episode, where he cut a very short promo inside the ring, declaring that “your ruler has arrived.”
