Why Oba Femi Must Lose To Brock Lesnar At WWE Clash In Italy
The WWE Universe was under the impression that Brock Lesnar had called it quits at WrestleMania 42. However, he made a shocking return to WWE on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw.
On May 18, Oba Femi was getting ready for his open challenge, but moments before the match, Brock Lesnar made a surprise appearance and attacked Femi, taking down The Ruler with four brutal F5s.
Later, Paul Heyman handed WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce a contract that already had Brock Lesnar’s signature on it for a match against Oba Femi at Clash in Italy.
WWE veterans Tommy Dreamer and Bully Ray discussed The Beast Incarnate’s return and his upcoming match against Oba Femi at Clash in Italy on the latest edition of the Busted Open podcast.
Brock Lesnar Defeating Oba Femi At Clash In Italy Makes More Sense
Tommy Dreamer was confused as to why WWE set up Oba Femi versus Brock Lesnar 2.0 at Clash in Italy, given that Lesnar is heavily rumored to retire at SummerSlam in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dreamer stated that if Oba Femi loses, he might lose momentum in WWE, while if Brock Lesnar loses, the storyline would have no room to continue.
“Where do they go from here? Because I thought this was a great thing for SummerSlam, but no, we’re garnering towards Italy. Because if Oba takes the loss, will it derail him? If Brock takes the loss, I don’t know where you could go unless he’s like, man, maybe it’s time I call a career,” Dreamer said.
Bully Ray then shared his take on the matter, stating that he believes Brock Lesnar should be the one to win this time. This would put Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi at 1-1, with both stars having one victory each, which could then open the door for a third and final match between them at SummerSlam.
Ray added, “There’s no way in hell that they can just go to Turin, Italy, and have Oba defeat Brock again. It’s like bringing Brock back, just sell tickets or whatever, and then he goes away again. It waters everything down and takes away. A talent like Oba Femi, who’s on his way, needs to get that win back.”
