NXT Tag Team Championship Defense Set For Next Week’s Episode

The NXT Tag Team Championships have been around the waist of DarkState ever since they won the titles from The Hardy Boyz at Halloween Havoc in a Broken Rules match.

The titles were won by Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin before Lennox relinquished his belt to his stablemate, Saquon Shugars, as he looks to capture singles gold.

The titles were last defended at NXT Gold Rush 2025, where Lennox and Griffin defeated Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater to retain the belts. They are now set to defend the titles next week on the black and silver brand.

OTM look to become NXT Tag Team Champions

OTM have been in DarkState’s crosshairs for the past few weeks as they look to solidify themselves in the tag team division. They helped out Joe Hendry last week in his match against Dion Lennox as they looked for a shot at the titles.

They challenged DarkState for a championship match next week, and the champions accepted their challenge, making the match for the NXT Tag Team Titles official for next week.
