NXT No Mercy Main Event Announced By Shawn Michaels

The main event of WWE’s NXT No Mercy will be a championship match featuring two bitter rivals who are ready to settle their differences.

At the last WWE NXT Premium Live Event in July, the main event was the NXT Championship match between Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov. Hayes found a way to win in a somewhat controversial fashion while Dragunov has done everything he could to get a rematch.

That Carmelo Hayes-Ilja Dragunov rematch will happen at NXT No Mercy later tonight in Bakersfield, California, but it won’t be the main event.

Shawn Michaels, the Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, who is in charge of the NXT brand from a creative standpoint, posted on X/Twitter that the NXT Women’s Title match between champion Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton will main event No Mercy. That match will also be an Extreme Rules Match.

And I’m very proud to announce the Extreme Rules Match for the NXT Women’s Championship between @BeckyLynch WWE and @tiffstrattonwwe will Main Event tonight’s No Mercy Premium Live Event.

Becky Lynch & Tiffany Stratton at No Mercy will be the first women’s main event of NXT in over two years

When it comes to the NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, she is no stranger to the main event scene or making history. As for Tiffany Stratton, she has only been on television for less than two years, she’s already a former NXT Women’s Champion and will now headline an NXT PLE at just 24 years of age.

The last time that a women’s match headlined a NXT PLE was Stand & Deliver 2021 Night 1 when Raquel Rodriguez beat Io Shirai (now known as IYO SKY) to become NXT Women’s Champion.

* NXT Tag Team Championships: Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo (c) vs. The Creed Brothers (Brutus & Julius Creed) vs. Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo vs. Bronco Nima & Lucien Price

* Blair Davenport vs. Kelani Jordan (KICKOFF SHOW)
