The National Wrestling Alliance presented their NWA 74 pay-per-view featuring Kamille defending the NWA Women’s Title against Taya Valkyrie while Matt Cardona was in action as well.

The event took place at Chase’s Khorassan Ballroom in St. Louis, Missouri. The commentary team was Joe Galli, Tim Storm & Velvet Sky.

Here are the results from night one.

The show began with former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis doing a promo talking about his current situation in the NWA. Aldis said that the World Title belongs to the fans. He was the number one contender for the NWA World Title, but then he was replaced by Tyrus in that spot. Aldis told the fans they’ll get their money’s worth if they watch him wrestle and if he can’t get back to the title, maybe it’s time to walk away from the NWA. The crowd booed that. Aldis said he would beat Flip Gordon on night two. The fans cheered him as it ended.

* EC3 defeated Matthew Mims. After the match, Thom Latimer stood in the ring with EC3, who did a promo talking about how Latimer got clean/sober, found his wife in the NWA (Kamille) and so on, but EC3 claimed he would pull each and every demon from Latimer’s soul. Latimer did not speak.

* The Miserably Faithful (Judais, Sal The Pal & Gaagz The Gymp) defeated The Ill Begotten (Alex Taylor, Jeremiah Plunkett & Danny Dealz) in a Beelzebub’s Bedlam match. Judais pinned Dealz to win the match.

* Chris Adonis defeated Odinson by disqualification.

* Homicide defeated Kerry Morton to retain the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship. Kerry’s legendary father Ricky Morton was at ringside.

Wrestling legend Tommy Rich was interviewed. He talked about being the NWA Champion and how great it was to be back in the NWA again.

Matt Cardona did a promo before his match talking about his return from injury. He mentioned that he’ll be challenging for the NWA World Title again as Billy Corgan promised when Cardona had to forfeit the title three months ago due to injury.

* Rolando Freeman defeated Matt Cardona. Cardona freaked out about the upset loss.

* Max The Impaler won the Burke Invitation Gauntlet to earn a shot at the NWA Women’s Championship at NWA 74 Night 2. Also in the match: KiLynn King, Samantha Starr, Natalia Markova, Missa Kate, Madi Wrenkowski, Angelina Love, Jennacide and Tootie Lynn.

* Cyon defeated Jax Dane.

* Bully Ray defeated Mike Knox in a Tables Match. Bully Ray delivered a Chokeslam through the table to win.

The Commonwealth Connection team of Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Doug Williams relinquished the NWA Tag Team Titles due to Smith’s illness. That meant a match for the vacated NWA Tag Team Titles was next.

* La Rebelion (Bestia 666 & Mecha Wolf) defeated Hawx Aerie (Luke Hawx & PJ Hawx) to win the vacant NWA World Tag Team Championships.

There was a face-to-face showdown between NWA World Champion Trevor Murdoch and Titus to set up their main event match at NWA 74 Night 2. Murdoch won the title at Alwayz Ready back in June. NWA Owner Billy Corgan kept them from fighting as they exchanged words. When Murdoch looked like he was ready to fight, Tyrus walked away and pointed at his head suggesting it was mind games. That was it.

* Kamille defeated Taya Valkyrie to retain the NWA Women’s Championship. There was a referee bump towards the finish of the match. Taya hit Kamille with the title, the referee was back up and Taya got a two count. Kamille hit a Spear to retain her title.

After the match, NWA owner Billy Corgan and the other women’s wrestlers in the NWA walked out to ringside to applaud Kamille. When Kamille walked toward the backstage area, others in the NWA were on the stage applauding. The show ended there.

This event had a runtime of 3 hours, 33 minutes.

The NWA 74 Night 2 pay-per-view event airs on Sunday night, August 28 at 8pm ET/7 pm ET also from St. Louis. You can order it on FiteTV. The main event will be Trevor Murdoch defending the NWA World Title against Tyrus, plus a lot more action.
